Hello Jerome Band Families,
I hope everyone had a restful and relaxing weekend! I’m feeling grateful after a wonderful Band Camp.
Updates and Announcements
The Dublin Jerome Marching Band Commitment
As you are aware, it is a big one and it is worth it!
Students put in countless hours of preparation to be great. Our philosophy has always been that if a student joins the program, then they march their own position with their own responsibility. We don’t have backups for anyone. As I tell the students, we are the largest group project you’ve ever been a part of!
The bottom line is that in order to take the first step to being great, we need every student at every rehearsal and performance!
The band has weekly responsibilities, so we ask that you avoid weekend travel that conflicts with band activities. Thank you for your cooperation and dedication to the band program!
Per the handbook, reasons for an excused absence are the following:
Personal illness or injury serious enough to stop all activity.
Serious illness in the immediate family requiring hospitalization.
A death in the family or family wedding.
Religious holiday observance that directly conflicts.
Required legal or court appearance.
We politely ask that families do their best to avoid conflicts with doctor’s appointments during band rehearsals, as this places an additional burden on other students who rely on all members to be present.
Pick Up from Band Events
For safety and organization, please pull into a parking spot and wait for your student to come to you. Please, do not pull up to the curb.

These events will not be on the CutTime schedule because they are so regular. You will be notified if there are any changes.
