Band Update, 8/24

Good afternoon, Jerome Band families!

I hope you all had a great weekend! Here are your updates:

• Updated Weekly Rehearsal Times

  • Mondays

    • Wind Sectional: 3:15-5:15pm

  • Tuesdays

    • Percussion Sectional: 3:15-5:15pm

    • Color Guard Sectional: 4:00-6:00pm

  • Wednesdays

    • Full Ensemble Rehearsal: 3:15-5:15pm

  • Thursdays

    • Full Ensemble Rehearsal: 3:15-5:15pm

  • This schedule will be in place for the duration of the Marching Band season.

• Band Pictures: Friday, August 28, 3:00-5:00pm, Dublin Jerome Gymnasium, Full Uniforms with Gauntlets and Gloves, No Shakos

  • 3:00pm: Senior Individuals

  • 3:30pm: Group Picture

  • 3:40pm: Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior Individuals

  • Picture orders can be made here: HR Imaging

  • Dinner will be on your own. 

    • Parents may drop-off food or students may go out after their pictures.

• Football Game vs Reynoldsburg: Friday, August 28, 7:00pm

  • 5:30pm: Report Time, Summer Uniforms

  • 6:25pm: March to Stadium

  • 6:48pm: Pregame

  • 7:00pm: Kickoff!

  • ~10:00pm: End of Game and Dismissal

• Dublin Music Boosters

  • Concessions

    • Do you have an old iPad or iPhone collecting dust? Consider donating it to the band! We could use one or two more devices to use as registers during those super busy football games. It doesn’t need to be the latest and greatest. It just needs to be updated and able to run Square.

  • Help Still Needed on Fridays!

    • A huge thank you to our volunteers for the first week, especially our Friday night crew! It was a great team, but we all agree we could have used a few more hands.

    • We’re all band parents, and we know how much fun it is to see our students on the field! If you haven’t picked your shifts yet, consider signing up for a football game—when we all pitch in, we can make sure every parent gets a chance to enjoy those Friday Night Lights.

  • Fund Drive: Wednesday, September 2, 5:00-8:00pm

    • Fund Drive is coming and we will need approximately 80 drivers!**** This is our largest fund raiser of the year and we need everyone!!

• Looking ahead…

  • Fall Concert Band Auditions: Tuesday, September 8, 3:00-7:00pm

    • Students will prepare their audition material available on Schoology

    • Students will sign-up for a time slot for their respective audition. They are not required to stay from 3:00 to 7:00pm
