Band Update, August 17

Good afternoon, Jerome Band families!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I’m feeling grateful after a wonderful Band Camp. We’re about to begin our school year which is always exciting! Here are your updates:

• Full Ensemble Rehearsal: Tuesday, August 18, 3:30-5:30pm

• CANCELED - Full Ensemble Rehearsal: Wednesday, August 19

  • Open House Conflict

• First Day of School: Thursday, August 20

  • No Rehearsal

• Football Game at Westerville South, Friday, August 21, 7:00pm:

  • 5:30pm: Report Time, Summer Uniforms

  • 6:25pm: March to Stadium

  • 7:00pm: Kickoff!

  • ~10:00pm: Dismissal

• Pick Up from Band Events

  • For safety and organization, please pull into a parking spot and wait for your student to come to you. Please, do not pull up to the curb.

• Concessions Help Needed - Tomorrow!

  • Due to a schedule change, we now need concessions tomorrow for Field Hockey instead of Wednesday this week.

• Spirit Wear

  • Garage and Yard sign sales have been extended. 

    • Due to high demand at the parent performance, we have re-opened the pre-sale link and will take orders until Friday, August  21st.

    • This will be our final order of yard and garage signs for the year, so please don’t miss this one! If you have other merch to pick up, please reach out to Spirit Wear Coordinator.

• Football Game Hospitality

  • Please make sure your student has a labeled refillable water bottle for all home games.

  • Water jugs will be available in the stands during the game, but disposable cups will only be set out during the halftime break with the visiting band. Thank you!

  • Thank you to everyone who has signed up!

  • There are a few spots open for later in the season, so don’t miss your opportunity to be a part of the fun!

• Volunteer Opportunities

  • The Jerome Music Booster Board is still looking for a few amazing parents to help us organize events.

  • Our first meeting of the year will be this Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Band Room.

  • Feel free to join us and learn about what we do.
